It has been a while since my last post, I know… but, I had a bit of summer-itis. It is FINALLY beautiful in New York. Fresh fruits and veggies are so abundant…all I wanted to do was eat fruits and cheese in the grass wearing garlands in my hair… Just kidding; well sort of kidding. I have snapped out of my cooking sabbatical and come back inside.

Over the long Fourth of July weekend, I realized it had been a month since my last post as I was sitting in Philly chatting with a friend’s lovely wife. We were chatting about my blog and the healthy cooking philosophy behind it when the conversation inevitably led to “Cleanses and Detox”. The conversation was a long and complex one. One, I believe is worthy of its own post. So here we go….

A few days ago I was doing some web research for a new food of the day post for Dates. Unfortunately, this all got delayed because I got locked out of my apartment for a week.
