Day After Thanksgiving Chicken Broth

A chop and drop chicken broth from my left over thanksgiving chicken bones. I just cut it all up and threw it in a pot. Easy, delicious, and better than store bought for sure!

Wait! Don’t throw away that turkey or chicken carcass from Thanksgiving! Do yourself a favor make home made broth. Fill up a large stock pot with water and throw that puppy into it! Add some celery, onions, garlic, carrots, and maybe some kale and collard greens! Allow the bones to boil down with garlic powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, dill and lots of poultry seasoning. Leave on the stove for about 1 hour and that’s it. In the end you will have quarts and quarts of broth better than anything you can buy at the store. Strain out the bones and large pieces of veggies. Pour your broth into the small, medium, and large containers for freezing. Muffin tins work as well for individual servings.

So do yourself a favor… coarsely chop it all up and throw it in a pot and wait 1 hour! That’s all! So just do it. Don’t think about it. DO. IT! Thank me Later!

Bon Appetit!
